Mark Schapiro

Mark Schapiro is a former senior correspondent at the Center for Investigative Reporting and author of the recently published book Carbon Shock: A Tale of Risk and Calculus on the Front Lines of the Disrupted Global Economy. An award-winning investigative journalist for more than two decades, his work has appeared in Harper’s, The Nation, Mother Jones, and The Atlantic Monthly. He has also been a correspondent on NOW with Bill Moyers, FRONTLINE/World, and Marketplace. Schapiro teaches at the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and at the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
