The so-called “eagle cam,” which was set up in a cottonwood tree last year by the nonprofit Raptor Resource Project, zoomed in close as the third egg started to crack at about 5:30 p.m. on April 6, and viewers watched online as the eaglet emerged over the next two hours, five days after the other eggs hatched. The hatchlings have become an online sensation, with more than 11 million visitors to the site.
