James Van Nostrand is a professor and director of the Center for Energy and Sustainable Development at West Virginia University College of Law. Before his appointment at WVU in July 2011, Van Nostrand was executive director of the Pace Energy and Climate Center at Pace Law School. Prior to his transition to law school teaching in 2007, Van Nostrand was a partner in the energy practice group of large law firms in the Pacific Northwest.
