World’s Most Endangered Mammal Captured on Video in Indonesia

The environmental group WWF has released new video images of the Javan rhino, the world’s most endangered mammal. Motion-activated cameras captured the images of the rhinos, notoriously shy creatures that typically flee humans, at Ujung Kulon National Park in southern Indonesia. In the footage, a mother, her calf and a larger male rhino wander through a muddy hole. Researchers believe only 60 of the rhinos still exist in the jungles of Indonesia.
