Verlyn Klinkenborg is a lecturer in the School of the Environment and the English Department at Yale University. He is the author of seven books, including The Rural Life and Timothy; Or, Notes of an Abject Reptile, and was a member of The New York Times Editorial Board from 1997 to 2013.
